I know theres loads of people from america on here, talking about malls and oreos lol just wondered what you thought of David Beckham? And have any of you seen his new advert for underwear! :D But also about his football and stuff, i like him for that as well! xxx
I'm English but I don't mind him although he's a bit over rated in my opinion
He used to be an amazing footballer in the 90's when he first played for manchester which was his "dream" but now I reckon it's gone to his head and he's actually forgotten what he stood for in the first place:
That poor kids can still become successful within football rather than endorsing everything that comes up,
however, he is rather nice and gives to charity which is always good :) (Y)
A brilliant David Beckham compilation!
Does anybody know what sunglasses David beckham is wearing in the new sharpie advert? He's wearing them in the car at the end of the advert......
I think the advert is on youtube
Thanks

David Beckham has been here a while now, played in some games, and already gotten himself hurt. How much of a difference is he really making?
A. When he played he was actually very useful on the field (that shows the rest of the world how bad MLS actually is, along with Angel scoring goals like crazy)
B. When he plays, the US's own players get mentioned even less. (I am sure all of Asia and maybe half of the states knows Beckham plays for the Galaxy, I dont imagine 90% of them can name any one of his teammates. And sadly the icon of American Soccer is among them.)
C. When he plays, he wear a soccer jersey. (Ever since Beckham came to the US, a lot more people are wearing soccer jerseys. It is the hip thing. The soccer jersey people must be really happy)

I see the media are cooling off a bit since David Beckham moved to LA Galaxy. I never could quite understand the media frenzy anyway. I mean he's good but isn't what I would describe as a truly great player anyway.
Who would you say is the greatest footballer currently playing?
Secret Keeper - You've changed your name haven't you? Ryan Giggs is still playing for THEM!! (sorry can't bring myself to use foul language) - Redknapp and Shearer are both retired and are currently pundits Redknapp for Sky Sports and Shearer for the BBC. I wouldn't say they were 'greats' either, not in the same way as Pele, Cruyff, Maradonna or Zidane anyway. So who in todays game is going to go down in history like them?
Adam h - he always was a bit lame in my opinion.
Dolia - I think you have a point, but I think he's got famous off the back of his wife's fame. If he hadn't married a Spice Girl then I think he'd have just remained an ordinary player for an ordinary club.
love him or hate me(well i love him,as a due of respect that is)he is the most iconic footballer in the world.those ronaldinhos, kakas and ronaldos are well known in the football world,i repeat, football world.but trying asking people who dont know anything about football, chances that people wil know about beckham is more than they will know about kaka, ronaldinho, ronaldo. well,in my opinion,he is,truely,a great footballer, not the greatest thou,he is not someone who will rely on pace,so age is definitely not something that will stop him. and look at his freekicks, can anyone match up to his? i can only think of nakamura and juninho, those 2 are the only 2 that are close to beckham in terms of free kicks ability. if i am to say the greatest footballer,i would say it is steven gerrard, just look at his contribution to liverpool,he is no kaka nor ronaldo, but he keep it simple, and produce always wif his trademark runs
LA Galaxy star, David Beckham, didn't play against Toronto FC last month due to an ongoing ankle injury. But he admitted to doing something with the injury that he had never done before.
What did he do??
Well, I think Michael Owen is the best player plus glamorous person I have ever seen rather than David Beckham. What do you think?
Beckham is past his prime and his prime was not exactly very good. Owen no doubt.

David Beckham: “I Want to Give a Hand to Milan.”
Air Beckham landed yesterday in Milan.
The move has been criticised by some who see it as a ‘glamour’ signing for Milan and a ‘fashion capital’ move for the Beckhams, but Beckham has always had his critics on and off the pitch, it’s the price that comes with being the most famous footballer on the planet despite not being anywhere near the most skilled or most decorated of footballers.
With due respect to his teammates, the spotlight will be squarely on David Beckham for the duration of his stay at Milan. he was presented to the public during a press conference with AC Milan VP Adriano Galliani at his side, here are a few quotes:
“Se poi Beckham volesse tornare o rimanere sa che il Milan è a sua disposizione”. Adriano Galliani, VP of AC Milan.
“Buonasera, è quello che conosco d’italiano” dice. “Grazie di cuore. Amo ‘la’ Italia sono felice”. “Forse è meglio passare all’inglese”.
