ok....Jeff gordon won at talledaga and that was good cause im a gordon fan and a hendrick motorsports fan...and when dale jr heads to HMS in 2008 i think he is goin to be great and since he is goin to be goin there ill be a fan of him like gordon johnson and mears...and i noticed when gordon won yesterday the fans were goin crazy over the win and notin was thrown out on the track at him is that because JR is goin to be his teammate next year
Dale's cars haven't been very good the last few years. His move will provide him with both next season. I think it is a great move for him and HMS. With a good car under him, he will have pressure to prove he is the driver everyone wants him to be.
Jeff Gordon passes Jimmie Johnson on the last lap and holds off Johnson and Dave Blaney for the win.
This is the second time this season that Jeff Gordon has won consecutive races.
It depends on how you count. Counting this year he has 18 winning streaks for lack of a better term. One is 4 races long which I count as one but could be argued to count as 2 or 3.
95 1 Daytona Louden
96 3 ( twice 2 and one 3 in a row)Darlington Bristol. Dover Pocano, and Dover- Martinsville-North wilkesboro
97 2 Daytona-rockingham, and Bristol- martinsville
98 3 (a 4 and twice 2) Pocano-Indy-Watkins Glen- Michigan,Louden -darlington, and Rockingham-atlanta
99 1 Martinsville Charlotte
2000 none
2001 2 Dover-Michigan and Indy-watkins Glen
2002 1 Bristol Darlington
2003 1 Martinsville atlanta
2004 2 Dega - Fontana, and Sonoma- daytona
this year 2 more for a total of 18.

i believe Jeff will win at least 3 races and he will be in the chase. Come on, where are all the Gordon fans?
He has a great oppurtunity in two of the next three races. He won at Talladega last year as well as Darlington. He won a total of three races combined at those two tracks last year. He has a total of 6 wins at Talladega and 7 and Darlington. If he doesn't win at one of those two tracks then his best oppurtunity after that will be Infineon Raceway in June of course that is assuming he doesn't turn around his performance at 1.5 mile tracks. I expect him to win two-three races this year and should be able to make the chase

Jeff Gordon is the next Richard Petty just deal with it.
(he has a long way to go)
Really, especially people from Alabama and the rest of the south.
I am from Alexander City fof those of you who know where that is.
I am going to be the next Jeff Gordon. Mark my words.
I have been a fan for about 10 years and decided to become a driver for about 9 years. Now I am 17.
Anyone out there form the class of 07 at BEN RUSSELL?
If you aren't quite sure who i am class of 07' my initials ar MB.
The real answer to this, is in fact the cult following of Dale Earnhardt. Dale Earnhardt was one of the greatest drivers ever. But the ever so glaring truth is Jeff Gordon has got there faster and against stiffer competition. It would be hard to convince a huge Sr fan any differently, but the hate for Gordon is the ever impressive stat of getting there quicker and doing it quicker than Sr.
Well, everyone saw the expertise and strategic thinking of Jeff Gordon...
Who couldn't deny he wouldn't have won that race?
And now who will deny he will not win the championship?
He's great...
He deserves it
Everyone saw him hanging out in the back all day
I was angry at him doing that but in the end I knew his strategy
It worked out, too
So what are you comments?
I agree wiht you 100%
Finally, someone who actually made some sense... unlike some people who with their childish selves have to say something negative
Wow, ive followed the sport since gordon won his 3rd in 1998 and have been a gordon fan ever since. i have to say that im very proud to here people support jeff and finaly notice his accomplishments. I can say for a fact that i had never heard fans chearing for Jeff at Taladega but this weekend when he won you could hear the fans over the cars and im so happy he is starting to gain respect.
Jeff Gordon is by far one of if not the best driver out there this year. between 2001 and 2006 he hasnt really had much luck but i think now that he has a wife and a child he is more driven to win more than ever and he is having his best season since 2001. not quite the 13 wins of 1998 but he has been consistant week in and week out in both the car of tomorow and in the old car.
I believe that if Jeff is going to win the championship he is going to have to prove it this saturday at Charlotte. This used to be his track with 4 point race wins and a couple all star race wins but as of late, he has not been posting very good finishes. Id say that 500 miles at charlotte is still a lot and cars are going to be crashing out so if jeff starts out front, he should stay there but if not he needs to work on his car and stay out of trouble and try to come home with a top 10. a top 10 will keep him close to the front and with martinsville the week after, he can get the points lead back then if he looses it. Im liking jeff's chances of winning this championship and after the season that he is having id say hes the most deserving one to win it.
My son will turn 6 soon and Jeff Gordon is his idol! All he wants is a card or letter for his birthday signed by Jeff Gordon. I don't mind if it's just a stamped reproduced letter, poster, or card sent by his people. Please help!
The top tier NASCAR guys are MONTHS and I mean many months behind on actually signing things sent to them by fans. Most have entire rooms of backlogged requests.
If you are OK with a reproduction though, many of the hats and or shirts that are available have a signature as part of the design.
You'll never get a real one by then...
