For my son's 15th birthday I surprised him with tickets to fly to NJ from OH to see Bon Jovi, These are VIP Tickets which puts us onstage during 3 songs. At 50, I don't have the body I did as a teenager, but wear no more than a size 6 or 8 depending on the cut. What can I wear that will be trendy, but will not make me look like I am trying to compete with the "kids" and something that won't embarrass my son. I don't want to look like a frumpy mom....lol!! Thanks!

Try jeans and a nice top. Don't make either piece overly trendy. Keep it simplistic.

How do i dress up like bon jovi for halloween. Im only 15 so i wasnt around in the eighties which sucks. But i really want to go as him for halloween. I dont have long hair and im getting a wig but how do i make the wig look like his big shaggy hair and i was thinking for the clothes leather pants a vintage rock tee a studded belt and converse sneakers. Does that sound right i need help on this big time lol

You got it almost right except....Jon never wore sneakers. He wore boots. And Jon didn't wear leather pants(most of the time) He wore jeans. Think hair metal but with a little country added. You should be able to "shag" the wig to make it look like his hair did then. To do that you hold the hair up on the wig and cut it up and down cutting into what a hair dresser would call feathers. If you can find a vintage t that actually has Bon Jovi on it then that would work though if you can't Jon just often wore black t's (they all did back then) The studded belt is a great idea. If it is still warm on Halloween where you live you could try for his later look. Which was a little more native American/ cowboy...

If it is cold there and you go with what you mentioned then you should at least look a lot like a member of a hair metal band. You can just tell people that ask who you are. Don't worry if someone doesn't know right off who you are. Remember the 80's were a while back and not everyone can name the singers from then. Good luck and I hope you have lots of fun. I knew Jon many years ago and I think he would be thrilled that you want to look like him for the holiday.

Because today in class these two guys asked me what my favorite band was and I said Bon jovi and Switchfoot because thats just the bands I like. In return they made fun of it saying that those bands are gay. Is it really that bad?

most of the time when i was in school, my favorite band was the beatles, most people thought it was dumb but i later met people that had the same taste as me, it's nice to expand over generations of music

he is talking smack to the all black crowd and ask if anyone likes or knows bon jovi. (something like that) starts singing i think "shot through the heart" and gets the crowd into it. then says something like yeah i thought so and walks off the stage.
