Kevin Garnett has helped the Celtics terrorize the Eastern Conference this season. If he had spent his whole career on a contender (not the Minnesota Timberwolves), would we be talking about KG as one of the best players of all time?

absolutely. he has more 20-10-5 seasons than anyone in the history of the league, playing in MN. if he had had some quality guys around him, he might have put up some ridiculous numbers. you also have to look at him jumping straight from high school. a lot of people thought he was a huge gamble and after his 1st season, which was rather mediocre, many thought he was a bust. now he's definitely a Top 4 PF all-time along with Malone, Hayes, and Timmy.

thats never going to happen. theyre going to need someone with a big contract to match garnetts first. if kg was in memphis instead of gasol, then maybe he might be in a laker uniform, but thats just memphis.
