firstly i want to say CONGRATS! TO JUSTINE HENIN for her outstanding win at the OPEN. i also want to say however that people are not giving venus and serena credit. serena has won 8 grand slam titles and venus 6(i think). sure they got beat by the worlds number one but they are still great and can win. perhaps serena needs to get fitter and venus needs to play more.
anyway... my question was justine henin has a very interesting body is it possible shes on steroids?
Here it is plain and simple. All 3 women players are awesome. Henin, Serena, and Venus. What you are seeing right now is the difference in someone who is working her butt off to be number 1 (Henin) vs. two sisters who have great talent, but who are living in the past. sure, venus and serena can still beat most of the women on tour with their power, but against someone who is fast and powerful, they get outworked and outhustled. that is why henin beat both sisters. the sisters don't have that drive to work day in and day out to be number one. i know they have had injuries, but who on tour doesn't have injuries. Henin came back from injuries and reclaimed the number 1 spot. i have yet to see serena or venus take charge and get back in top shape and dominate women's tennis like they used to. everyone talks about greatness and domination. tiger woods, roger federer; serena or venus could add their name, but they dominated for just 3-4 years, I think tennis was too easy for the sisters and they got bored and tired of tennis; now, the women's competition has caught up and they can't find the motivation to bust their butt to dominate. that's why alot of people respect justine henin!
The Final against Henin in USO 2006 video.(Maria Sharapova 6-4 6-4) Comment, rate and enjoy!! I don´t own this clip!
Justine Henin is the hottest thing i've ever seen on a tennis court.
Yes, Sharapova and Kournikova look hot, but they belong to a boring and conventional kind of hot. Honestly, Justine beats them flat. It's not even a fight.
i agree with u, i also prefer henin over sharapova and etc
Even though she retired from professional tennis is it possible that Justine Henin can still play in the olympics for her country?
she probably can if she wanted to.
i still say her retiring is suspect.
what was the real reason she retired?
did she retire before she could get banned?
hmmmm.......inquiring minds would like to know.
Justine Henin has been the world No.1 for a very long time. She has wonderful skills and smart brains. She is also kind, nice, lovely and beautiful. She also has great spirits and she never gives up. I think she is perfect and I really like her.
But there are always many people who dislike her and even hate her. I want to know the reasons. Has she done anything wrong? I think she is innocent.
Thank you for answering my questions.
U G L Y she ain't got no alibi, she Ugly yeah yeah she Ugly!
had justine henin not choked and panicked agains't bartoli... would justine have been able to defeat venus and win wimbledon.. if she played her full game and was mentally strong?
Anything is possible. It's funny because on any other surface, I would say that Justine would have been the favorite against Venus (even though she struggled in their head to head meetings: 2-7). But Justine was one of the most consistent and competent all around, all-court players in the game. However, grass was arguably her weakest surface and it's obviously Venus' best surface (having won Wimbledon 5 times). That's not to say that Justine couldn't win Wimbledon though.
Actually, next to Venus (who in my mind was the favorite, Justine was the second choice to win Wimbledon in 07 and 08 (had she not retired). She did make the finals of Wimbledon twice in her career (loosing to Venus in 01 and Maruesmo in 06). She also made the semifinals a couple of other times loosing to Venus in 02 and Serena in 03. So she clearly had the potential to win Wimbledon. But beating Venus Williams at Wimbledon (especially in the later rounds has been almost impossible for most players in this decade). The only player that has had any success against her in the Wimbledon final was Serena (but that was back in the 02-03 era when Serena was the best player in the world).
i was just wondering who do you think would win between roger federer and justine henin since they are both number one in the world? i sure would love to see the match between the two. let's just say the best two sets of three. i think justine would.
well good question... i do not think it would be as clear cut and one sided as people on this are citing it to be.... If you were to take JUSTINE HENIN at her most dominant leveal.. like the way she was playing at the 2007 US OPEN.. and if u were to take FEDEX on one of his medicore off days.. it would be possible that JUSTINE would give FEDEX a good run for his money.. there is more power and athleticism in mens tennis. but that does not mean Justine could not surprise federer..
there are people here who say Justine would not be able to handle FEDEX's serves and power.. well very similarly the willams sisters serves are close to FEDEX's serves....
