I was planning to buy a Cuisinart or Kitchenaid food processor, but found a great deal on a Wolfgang Puck "Bistro" 900w food processor. It's 1/4 the price of Cuisinart or Kitchenaid. Can anyone tell me if it's a good food processor?
As a consumer of cooking products, I would suggest something that goes accordingly to your wishes. If you just need something that is not so expensive, I say go for the Wolfgang Puck "Bistro" 900w food processor". The Pros of doing so, just as you mentioned is that it is on forth the price of the other products. Sure, its granted that other products may be of better quality, however, if you just need something to get buy for some time, I say go for the least expensive.
However, I strongly suggest to keep looking around for other products, dont just focus on a few. Try visiting other stores which sell food processors. Once you found some other products that meet your price and quality specifications, check out the reviews on the products online. That way you see how other people feel about the items they purchased have served them.
Hope the Helps,
Good Luck.
Wolfgang Puck makes a simple pizza that's absolutely delicious.
I get a wolfgang puck salad a lot in a convenience store at my university, and I want to know how many calories are in it, but I can't seem to find the nutrition information anywhere...
It seems relatively healthy.. I forget the name of it, but it has chicken and a few dried won tons and I think sesame seeds or something. I don't put the dressing on it.
Does anyone know what salad I'm talking about and how many calories it might contain?
thanks!
you made that name up didn't you? :-)

My family has a tradition of eating out on New Year's eve, and we always spend it at Maggiano's Little Italy. Last eve, we paid about $200 for the five of us. Is there a Wolfgang Puck restaurant that is around that price range? We really want french and/or italian cuisine.
Do you suggest any other restaurant? Somewhere around $200 for a family of five.
I have only been to Wolfgang Puck's Vert restaurant at Hollywood and Highland and it's pretty pricey. You probably could get out of there for under $200, but you'd probably have to skimp a bit (for example, they had a porterhouse steak dinner for two people, and it was about $60). Good food, but pricey.
Have you ever been to the Grand Lux Cafe in the Beverly Center? It's a huge restaurant and is related to the Cheesecake Factory, but I think it's much tastier and better. You could feed five there for $200.
How about Buca di Beppo. I think they're in Pasadena and Universal City. It's fun to go there at least once and it's pretty tasty food.
I like Miceli's a lot, too. It's older and maybe not as fancy schmancy as other places, but I think their food is great and the yummy rolls and butter that they serve are delicious! There's one right off of Hollywood/Highland and one on Cahuenga as you head over toward Universal and Studio City.
Pastis on Beverly has good french food. I seem to remember most entrees being in the $15 - 30 price range, so without booze, you may be able to cut it under $200.
Good luck!

Why isn't he on the food network?
Puck eventually left Food Network in 2003 (his last series for the network now runs in in the 4am "death slot" on late Thursday/early Friday mornings). His last appearance was on the pilot episode of Iron Chef America.
My Father had it at Wolfgang's restaurant at the Borgata & I'd like to replicate it for him. Any insiders willing to give us the recipe would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not familiar with this dessert but try these links...

if anyone knows how to cook great northern beans in it. the dry kind not canned. thanks also any other recipes for this cooker would be great too!
Shame on the manufacturers for not including a recipe book. I guess you pay for the name. Anyhow, beans take 5 hours in an oven, after being boiled or soaked so that should give you some idea. I don't even know if you can bake beans in a rice cooker. Doesn't sound right to me but I don't own a rice cooker so I don't really know for sure.
